See what I do

Don't take my word for it, or even the words of my clients. See for yourself!

In the majority of cases, documents are edited in Microsoft Word, using the track changes function. This is a great way to operate as I can make all the required changes, but the author of the document is still in charge of it, in case a change I make is inaccurate or incorrect. This is especially important in the case of academic work, since it's vital that you retain ownership of your documents, it is, after all, your work.

To illustrate how much work I put in to each and every document I edit, here you can download some samples. They are reproduced with kind permission from the respective client (but have been anonymised so as to not personally identify them). You will need Microsoft Word to view them. (Of course, I'm not limited to using Word; I have previously annotated PDFs, text files, HTML, and, of course, the old-fashioned "print out and manually mark" method. Whatever works for you, works for me!)

Downloads

(Please note that the design and style of the document is from the author. I haven't changed that, despite in some cases, such as the CV, wishing I could.)

  1. Download Sample (part of PhD thesis, Persian literature)

  2. Download Sample (part of PhD thesis, sociology/psychology)

  3. Download Sample (thesis abstract, physics)

  4. Download Sample curriculum vitae (I was approached by someone asking for freelance copyediting; I ended up copyediting their CV!)
